About
the painting: |
|
A Crow Warrior sees something in the distant mountains, a vision and silence that reaches deep into his soul. It calls to him, beckons him onward, and gives him guidance. The late afternoon sun floods the mountains, warning him that nightfall is fast approaching. He wears a long loop necklace made with blue beads, shell earrings, armbands, blue breechcloth, and leggings. He holds a sword in his left hand, with a shield slung over onto his right side and a quiver on his back. |

About
the artist: |
|
A premier western, wildlife and Native American painter, Jason Tako works in a painterly realist and sometimes impressionist style. Born and raised in rural Minnesota, he honed his drawing and observation skills by sketching and painting directly from nature. Several years later, Jason began exhibiting in some of the nation’s top wildlife art shows and plein air events where he won many awards for his landscapes and wildlife works and was featured in numerous publications. In 2020 he was named the Featured Artist at the Southeastern Wildlife Expo, the world’s premier wildlife art show. Finding a home in historical Native American subjects, his love for the landscapes of the American West has combined with his exceptional draftsmanship and interest in history to create magnificent works of painterly expression depicting cultures and ways of life that are forever etched into the American West. |
