From the beginning of time, men have sought a place
of peace and freedom in which to establish a home for their families.
Many of us are still seeking such a place. For Native Americans,
it has often been a long and agonizing struggle.
Capturing the pathos of the tragic Trail of Tears,
this work portrays a young family who has been displaced from their
home. Though they meet resistance and hardship at every turn, they
are determined to survive. Their hearts cling to the hope that their
path will lead to the peace they are seeking.
