This scene
depicts General Louis-Joseph Marquis de Montcalm as he meets with
their Indian allies near the French fotress Carillon on the shore
of Lake Champlain. Today this fort is known as Fort Ticonderoga.
Some Native Americans came from as far away as the western Great
lakes to join Montcalm, who they considered to be a great leader.
Just to speak with the General was a great honor amongst the Natives.
