One of the most important tasks the 18th century Indian
warrior faced was to provide food for his family. Hunting was a
time consuming occupation and year-round endeavor. A good hunter
was well respected and a successful hunt during the winter months
was welcomed by all. Shawnee Hunter shows a hunter returning to
camp after successfully taking a turkey. For one more day his family
will eat well during robe season.
