| An open door is an invitation to visitors, human or otherwise. Morgan has had the pleasure for the past 20 years of being able to study the fascinating world of children through his paintings. In this case, a bunch of baby ducklings were met by his subjects with great enthusiasm. But at its core, as is with all his paintings, he is just as interested in the light he is going to capture as he is in the story he is going to tell. For Morgan, light is the story here. Both child and ducklings are bathed in this beautiful light coming in through the open door which, he relates, magically washed away the incredible smell these little creatures left behind. | ||
